Aims

• By the end of the lectures the dental team will be familiar with the structure of the modern Head & Neck team and have gained insight into the importance of early diagnosis of head and neck cancer and the appropriate referral pathway for patients with suspected oral malignancy.
• An overview of the patient pathway will be presented
• The dental team will gain appreciation of the challenges faced by clinicians and patients at different parts of the pathway with some reference to the ongoing care of patients pertinent to the dental team.’
