  • To provide participants with the appropriate information to help facilitate the early diagnosis of oral cancer
  • Be aware of the latest oral cancer demographics
  • Have an understanding of the aetiological risk factors for oral malignancy

Objectives

  • Be reminded of the nature of oral premalignancy
  • Be able to identify those clinical features of soft tissue lesions that arouse suspicion
  • Be reminded of how best to refer patients with suspicious lesions

  • Handcleaning
  • Pre-cleaning instruments
  • Infection Control Audits

Objectives The individual will:

  • Be able to carry out effective hand cleaning
  • Understand the policies and procedures relating to handwashing
  • Be aware of all the processes of pre-cleaning instruments and their advantages and disadvantages
  • Understand the importance of Infection Control Audits and be able to incorporate the results into the practice training programme
